1. Overview

Welcome to the YouTube Creator Hub ("we", "our", "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application accesses, stores, and processes information when you connect your YouTube Channel using Google OAuth.

2. YouTube API Services Compliance

Our application utilizes YouTube API Services to fetch metrics, manage uploads, edit video metadata, and audit playlists. By using this application, you explicitly agree to be bound by:

3. Data We Collect & Access

When you connect your Google Account, we request authorization for specific YouTube API scopes:

  • youtube.readonly / force-ssl: Used to fetch channel parameters, view catalogs, read view metrics, and gather comment threads.
  • youtube.upload: Used when you explicitly choose to select and upload a local video file from your dashboard to YouTube.
  • yt-analytics.readonly: Used to display the 30-day view, watch time, and subscriber growth graphs.

4. Storage & Security

Secure Database Storage: Your authentication credentials (OAuth access and refresh tokens) are stored securely inside our Firebase Firestore database under your private user profile document (users/{uid}/youtube_tokens).

We enforce strict security and access rules, ensuring that your tokens are accessible only to our background services to perform optimization actions. We do not sell or share your tokens.

5. Data Revocation

You can revoke access to your YouTube Channel data at any time:

  • Clicking "Disconnect Channel" on the home page dashboard will permanently delete the stored YouTube tokens from your Firestore profile.
  • You can revoke access permissions globally through the Google Security Account Settings portal at Google Third-Party Access Manager ↗.
